United Therapeutics Amenities Opens
An existing office building has been renovated to support the company’s growing North Carolina workforce.
United Therapeutics’ Amenities Building opened this past weekend in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. The approximately 100,000-square-foot renovation brings shared employee amenities and workspace to the former Research Commons office park, adjacent to the company’s research and manufacturing facilities.
Dining and fitness spaces share the ground floor with training rooms and gathering areas. A kitchen designed to serve 600 meals a day also supports events across the campus. The upper two floors consolidate teams within one building.
United Therapeutics’ graphic identity informs the interior, where a wood feature wall abstracts the company’s lung logo and exposed ceilings painted red extend its bold use of color overhead. The layout prioritizes access to daylight and views. New metal-panel cladding relates the existing brick building to neighboring campus facilities.
