Syngenta Celebrates Opening of New Headquarters
Last week, Syngenta Crop Protection celebrated the grand opening of its newly renovated North American Headquarters in Greensboro, North Carolina, marking a transformative $68 million investment in agricultural innovation. This extensive modernization reinforces Syngenta's commitment to sustainable agriculture and its deep ties to the Greensboro community.
Launched in 2020, the project is the result of a collaborative effort between Syngenta, Hanbury, and local and state leaders, transforming the 70-acre Swing Road campus into a modern research and development hub. Spanning 470,000 square feet, the upgraded facility includes over 220,000 square feet of new and revitalized spaces, including a 100,000-square-foot advanced laboratory. Outfitted with cutting-edge robotics and artificial intelligence, the lab will enable Syngenta to enhance safety, streamline operations, and expand research capabilities to better serve farmers globally.
The addition of a customer experience center strengthens community engagement, offering interactive exhibits and educational tours that highlight Syngenta’s commitment to agricultural advancement.
With over 700 employees dedicated to advancing agricultural science, Syngenta Crop Protection’s Greensboro campus represents both a local anchor and a global commitment. Greensboro Chamber of Commerce President Brent Christensen praised the new headquarters as a “testament to the strength and potential of Greensboro as a hub for innovation,” positioning the city as a prominent leader in agricultural technology.
