2024 Barkitecture

Hanbury’s team achieved double victories at last Saturday's 2024 Barkitecture event where our pet-friendly design took home two awards:

People’s Choice Award
, based on engagement and live votes during the event.

The Fat Cat Award
, given to the build that raised the highest amount during the silent auction

A big congratulations to Chris Kwon, Erich Brunk, Albert Fajardo, Kelly Clark, Sarah Bannon, Aishwarya Patil, and Nick Rossitch, along with our partners at Brasfield & Gorrie and Unrefined Design, for their creative collaboration

Introducing “Pawdenza”

“Pawdenza” is a custom-built pet credenza that combines style, function, and craftsmanship. Inspired by the rolling mountains, valleys, and coastlines of North Carolina, the piece features an undulating door created using 3D CNC techniques. When lowered, the door transforms into a comfortable dog bed suitable for pets of all sizes. The design also includes a sleek storage cabinet on the left side, perfect for organizing dog toys and supplies, while maintaining a consistent flow in the overall design.

Triangle Barkitecture is an annual fundraiser supporting local pet rescue organizations, including Saving Grace, Connie’s Kittens, and Peak Lab Rescue. Architects, engineers, and designers from across the region come together to create one-of-a-kind pet structures, with all proceeds going directly to support animals in need.

We are thrilled to have again participated in this meaningful event, leveraging our creativity and expertise to make a positive impact in our industry and the local community.
